Excellent Easy To Use Flip (Flipboard Style) Transition Component

-

I’ve received several inquires about a similar component, and today came across a component allowing you to create similarl styled transitions both horizontally and vertically.  This component allows you to flip with solid colors (you could use a screenshot to create an effect similar to the FlipView component) and dynamic text.

The component also supports several different types of interaction such as tap to flip and page style flipping.

You can see a video demonstration below:

The component is by Dillion Tan and can be found with an example on Github here.

While it’s not quite the same as the previously mentioned component you can see how the flipping is done.

Open Source iPhone Component For Elegant Sliding Views Inspired By Path 2 And Facebook Apps

-

This component allows you to create sliding views in a manner similar to the Path 2 and Facebook apps.

While there are several open source components that provide for sliding views I really like this control.

The reason this component stands out for is that the developer has gone through the trouble of adding shadowing and bouncing animations and view close, supports rotation and allows tweaking of the panning  behavior.

Here’s a video demonstrating this component in action:

The component is VideDeck from Tom Tom Adriaenssen and you can find the Github repository here.

Complete instructions along with an example project are provided.

To really see the beauty of this control you’re going to want to play with the example yourself.

Open Source: Gridview Component With Movable Cells That Respond To Gestures And More

-

I have mentioned some excellent open source grid view components in the past such as the high performance KKgrividew control.

What makes this control different is that not only does it provide an excellent scrollable gridview component, but in addition each view responds to gestures and can be moved around by dragging and dropping, maximized, and minimized and more.

You can see how the control responds to gestures in this quick video demonstration:

The control does much more adjusting for the iPhone and iPad screens, and providing editable screen cells.

The control is from Gulam Moledina and you can find the source code at the Github repository here.
